Steven Craig "Steve" Lyons

Steven Craig “Steve” Lyons, age 57, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington.  He was born January 17, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Cliff and Faye (Crider) Lyons.  Steve liked Harley Davidson Motorcycles, music of all genres, fishing, and was a great cook.  He enjoyed the outdoors, and had a “green thumb”.  He loved his cars, and was meticulous in keeping them clean.  Steve loved his family and would help anybody in need.  He was a simple man that would enjoy a Busch Beer, a smoke, and good conversation with family and friends.    He is survived by his life partner of 36 years, Dawn Myers; mother Faye Lyons of Cincinnati; children, Ryan Lyons of Blanchester, Chad (Desiree) Lyons of Independence, Kentucky, Stephanie (Brandon) Leonard of Martinsville, and Ashleigh Myers of Wilmington; grandchildren, Alexis Lyons, Steven Lyons, Cole Lyons, Kylie Lyons, Collin Lyons, Wesley Baker, Alexa Fender, Aubrey Hair, Taylynn Barr, Devon Barr, Braicen Ertel, Bryssa Ertel, Isaiah Burns, Ayden Accoo, and Maleigha Davis; great grandchild Lincoln Lyons; siblings, Greg Lyons of Cincinnati, Tina (Jon) Jones of Harrison, Ohio, Brian Lyons of the Netherlands, Charlene (Dennis) Boggs of Cincinnati, Dixie (Roger) Felumlee of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Twilene (Bruce) Cunningham of New Vienna, and Ed (Kathy) Myers of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Dustin Rains, Sean Snell, Robert (Sheena) Jones III, Brandilyn (Chris) Jones, Aryn (Stephenie) Jones, Rae, Vicki, Terri, Korie, Kecia, Lori, and Lynne; great nieces and nephews, Rileigh Jones, Reighan Jones, Eli Wolfe, and Noah Jones; and many friends and beloved cousins.  Steve is preceded in death by his father Cliff Lyons in 1996; and special niece Samantha Whittenburg.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Wilmington Church of Christ.  Dale McCamish will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wilmington Church of Christ.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.  For more information, or o leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
