Vicki Ann Sedam, of Clarksville, gained her angel wings while surrounded by her loving family after fighting a tremendous battle against kidney cancer.
Born in 1957 to Herbert and Shirley Whalen in Adams County, Vicki was raised in nearby Sardinia with her brother, Randy (Linda) Whalen. A graduate of Eastern High School, Vicki moved to Clarksville in the early 80's and met the love of her life, Mike Sedam, while working together at Settlemyer Seed. She felt fortunate to have had a very special relationship with his parents, the late Nathan and Mary Alice Sedam who loved and treated her like a daughter. Mike and Vic were wed on a very cold and windy day in January, very typical of the Ohio winter. Together, they were blessed with two children, Bradley (Misti) Sedam and Sara (Joshua) Luttrell. Additionally, Vicki was blessed to be step mother to Shane (Amy) Gibson and Danita (Jim) Vest as well, she had plenty of love to go around.
Vicki was known as hard working, be it farming, sorting freight at Abx Air., or caring for others as an STNA. Her favorite job was that of "Nana" to her many grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and immediate family, Vicki is survived by her grandchildren and loving friends. She has been reunited in her afterlife with her father, firstborn granddaughter, Clara Marie Gibson and beloved dog, Jack.
Vicki will be remembered for her loving nature, strength, resilience, and fiery spirit, and will be endlessly missed.
"To know her is to love her."
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31st, at 12 pm., with services to follow at 2 pm.
