Virginia "Ginny" Mannix Obituary

Virginia Lee (Ginny) Mannix (Dieterly), age 85, of Waynesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 7, 2026. Ginny was born June 1, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Virginia H. (Duggan) Dieterly. Ginny had loved to travel and was always chasing sunshine and warm weather. Among the many things she enjoyed in her time here were loving her cats and collecting memorabilia, especially anything Coca-Cola or Elvis related. She loved her hobbies also. Whether knitting, crocheting, making ceramics, or spending time delving into her family genealogy, she enjoyed taking the time and comfort in all she did. Especially loving her family. Ginny leaves behind three children, Dianne (Mark) Dawson of Waynesville, Charles D. (Jeanette) Stingley of Cincinnati and Christopher Lee (Brooke) Stingley of Waynesville; her grandchildren, Richard Stingley, Elizabeth Stingley, Wesley Stingley, Aubrey Stingley, Devin (Marissa) Dawson, Jack Stingley and Owen Stingley; two great-grandchildren; special niece Julie Dieterly of Morgan Hill, California; nieces, Alexis and Katie Dieterly; dear friend Elizabeth Shade; and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, Ginny is preceded in death by her husband, Tim Mannix; her brother, Duncan Dieterly; and a nephew, Deklan Dieterly.
