Wayne Elmer Edwards

Wayne Elmer Edwards, 80, of Columbus passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness on Saturday, March 13, 2021

Wayne was born November 28, 1940 to the late John and Olive Edwards. He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, Pickaway Correctional Institute and proudly served in the U.S. Army after High School.

He leaves to Cherish his memory, a son; Jeffery Edwards (Treasa), a daughter; Debbie Edwards, a step-son; James B. Edwards, two step-daughters, Stephanie Abt (Mike), and Tammie Farley, Siblings; Dean Edwards (Deanna), Joyce Kimball, Virginia Pollitt (Paul), Ronnie Edwards (Margene), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tacie in 2010, two step-sons; Roger Farley and Bryan Farley, brothers; John Edwards and Lee Edwards, sisters; Betty Bridges and Juanita Miller

A celebration of life will be held Friday March 19th at 12 Noon at Brown Funeral Home, 237 W Main St., Wilmington where family will accept guests from 10AM until start of service.

Interment in New Antioch Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Pastor Steven Hensinger officiating
