William Lee "Bill" Benner

William Lee "Bill" Benner, Sr., age 52, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Clinton Memorial Hospital, Wilmington. Bill was born July 21, 1969 in Greenfield, Ohio, son of the late Orley and Edna Marie (Moore) Benner. Bill was a "people person". He loved music, motorcycles and his family. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, working on cars and spending time with his dogs Buddy, Budda, and Brownie. Bill also enjoyed his time spent with his motorcycle club, "The Jokers". Bill is survived by his wife, Brittany (Sinclair) Benner of Wilmington; children, William Lee "Billy" (Tiffany) Benner, Jr. of Wilmington, Amanda LeClain of Lancaster, Jacob Dawson of Wilmington, and Justin Dawson of Wilmington; siblings, Mary (Donald) Barnes, Mikey (Tara) Benner and Dale Benner, all of Wilmington; 9 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a wife, Rosemary Frisbee; and two children, Joey and Amanda. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday January 19, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
