William Duane Cook, age 75, of Sabina, passed away February 26, 2023 under hospice care at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1947 in Washington Court House, Ohio the son of the late Lester and Beverly Sue (Lewis) Cook, Jr. Bill was a mechanic by trade and had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill was also a huge Cleveland Browns fan. He is survived by six children. Michael (Linda) Cook of Wilmington, Tammy (Jim) Stephens of Minnesota, Melissa (Donnie) Crawford of Wilmington, William Cook of Lebanon, Kelly (Scott) Carper of Ashtabula, and Dorothy Bowen of Georgia; a sister, Ginny Adams of Sabina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and an Uncle, Jim D. (Mary Jo) Cook. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 11, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Following visitation, Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard of Wilmington with a memorial service to follow thereafter.
