William Driscoll Obituary

William David “Bill” Driscoll, age 82, of Sabina, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Signature Healthcare, Chillicothe.  Bill was born January 13, 1939 the son of the late Homer and Bertha Driscoll.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves, and had retired from Southern Ohio Paving.  He had a passion for operating heavy equipment, and had the rare talent of being able to grade land with just his naked eye.   He was very proud of the fact that he dug the footers at the Red River Gorge.  Bill was always busy, he loved working in his wood shop, and general tinkering with anything.  Many have driven by the “underground” home between Sabina and Lees Creek, Bill was the designer and builder of the home, something he and his entire family took great pride in.  He is survived by his granddaughter, Bobbi and her husband Porter Jenkins, grandson, Matthew Reid; great grandchildren, Nikki and her husband Cooper Criswell, Cole Jenkins, Kobi Reid, Avery Reid, and Finnley Reid; sisters-in-law, Karol (Danny) Fowler, Ludene (Steve) Creed, Betty (Richard) Silva, Jean Barrett, Mary Williams, and Flo Rhinehart; brothers-in-law, Bobby (Barb) Allen, and Dale (Brenda) Allen; son-in-law Steve Reid; and several very special nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Lee Driscoll, to whom he had married in July of 1960; son David Allen Driscoll; step-daughter Ronnie Kay Reid; father and mother-in-law Lawrence and Lydia Allen; and sisters-in-law, Joann Allen and Maxine Whightman.  Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Sabina Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
