William Harry “Wild Bill” Gilland, age 64, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his home. He was born October 24, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Harry and Jean (Zureick) Gilland. Bill loved his profession as a truck driver and was an active C.B. user under the handle of “Wild Bill”. He enjoyed mowing, gardening, and canning vegetables. He was an adventurer and was known as the “grill master”. Bill was known and loved by many and will be missed. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Jeanne Bobo of Jamestown; mother Jean Cain of Cincinnati; children, Mary Jean Hodge, Michelle Greene, and Billie Jean Gilland, all of Cincinnati, and Christopher (Jenn) Bobo of West Chester; nine grandchildren; siblings, Janet (John) Sess, Ronald (Bobbi) Miller, and Rob (Kathy) Cain, all of Cincinnati; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Sage, along with many more friends. Bill is preceded in death by his father Harry Gilland. All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
