William Harry "Bill" Larson, age 67, of North Pole, Alaska, but staying with family in Wilmington, passed away February 27, 2023 with family by his side. Bill was born July 20, 1955 in Rochester New York, the son of the late Loren William and Mary Margaret (Carnes) Larson. He was a self-employed diesel truck mechanic having spent 40 plus years in North Pole, Alaska. He was an avid outdoorsman and had enjoyed hunting and tracking bear and moose, as well as fishing the waters of the north. A loving family man, Bill was devoted to his family and loyal to his dear friends. He will especially be missed by his faithful, loving dog, "Jack". Bill took great pride in serving his Country in the United States Army and in developing young soldiers as a drill sergeant during times of conflict in the Middle East. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Henson) Larson, to whom he married May 27, 1981 in Oak Grove, Kentucky; children, William Vincent Larson of Wilmington, Ohio, Samuel Joseph (Erica) Larson of West Union, Ohio, Teresa Geisinger, and Trent (Lupe) Grammont, both of Alaska; sisters, Carole (Larry) Krabacher of Wilmington, Ohio and Mary Frances "Franny" (Tom) Kennedy of San Diego, California; several nieces and nephews; and more grandchildren than he knew what to do with! Bill is proceeded in death by his parents; son Randy Grammont; two sisters and one brother. All services will be held at the convenience of his family. Brown Funeral Home is assisting the family.
