William David Messer, age 74, of Blanchester, passed away December 26, 2024, at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born May 1, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Nina (Spence) Messer. David had been a Union roofer, owning his own business Messer Roofing. He loved Harley Davidsons, lived a fast-paced life and feared nothing. He was one of a kind. David is survived by two sons, Jarrod Messer, Sr. of Goshen and David Messer of Fairfield; grandson Jarrod Messer, Jr. of Goshen along with several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; very special friends JR and Becky Coogen of Vera Cruz; brother Mark (Almeda) Messer of Goshen; sisters Patricia (Larry) Wade of Alexandria, Kentucky, Shirley Messer of Blanchester, Nell (Jimmy) Miracle of Felicity and twins, Kay Shultze and Fay Hundley of Goshen; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his son Joshua James Messer; and his brothers Robert L., Thomas, John, and Daniel Messer. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2024, at Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville, Ohio. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
